The River People

The River People create honest handmade theatre through the use of dark folk storytelling, puppetry and live music. In 2009 they won Best Emerging Company at the Total Theatre Awards 2009 and the Edinburgh International Festival Fringe Prize 2009. As well as creating and touring theatrical productions, the company also offer a wide range of educational and skills based workshops for adults and young people and undertake puppet and set making commissions. www.theriverpeople.co.uk

Rough Fiction

Rough Fiction is a multi-disciplinary theatre company. They use existing fiction as a launch pad to create live and immediate contemporary performance. With backgrounds in new-writing and physical theatre, the company strive to produce cutting edge theatre by putting their own stamp on traditional theatre forms and celebrate the live and communal aspects of performance. Seedsew

SeedSew formed in 2008. Performance artists Natalie Adams and Benjamin Martin work with performance, visual and digital art, sound and improvisation. Lost Banditos

Lost Banditos' work concentrates on finding a current story or topic that can be experimented with, re-worked and played with using humour and subversion to tell “perhaps” a poignant tale.  They work with personal stories, the individual against the machine, against common ignorance or intolerance and want to share those stories with their audience so they don’t belong just to one person, but to all of us. www.lostbanditos.com

Hofesh Schecter

Hofesh Shechter has been identified as one of the UK’s most exciting artists.  Recognised as both a choreographer and composer, Hofesh was the very first Creative Associate of The Point in 2006. Hofesh is now an Associate Artist of Sadler’s Wells and Hofesh Shechter Company is Resident Company at Brighton Dome. StopGap

StopGAP were also one of the fist set of Creative Associates at The Point. They are a leading contemporary dance company consisting of dancers with and without disabilities. StopGAP is a dance company that challenges traditional notions about dance by using each dancer's physical and intellectual potential as a starting point for creating new work.
