Learning to move to music through themes and stories. The
children learn about balance, co-ordination and creativity through
gentle playful exercises.

Mega Moves

Creative Dance for 5-7yrs. A fun creative dance class
exploring themes, stories and imaginative ideas. The children will
be led through a fun and gentle warm up and then will develop a
creative dance through the term to build knowledge of dance steps
and to nurture imagination and creativity.

Feet First Youth Dance
Company

Contemporary dance based performance company
linked to the senior group. The class covers technique,
choreography and performance. As a company member you will create
and perform a new piece each term with the rehearsal director. Feet
First perform locally and also in the southern region. As a member
you will also have access to professional guest artists who
work on various projects throughout the year. Each term
the company regularly watch professional dance companies
too. You will have to be committed, enthusiatic and passionate
about dance. Minimum commitment of a 10 week term.

Creative dance performance group for 8-12 year olds. An
opportunity to make and perform dances, meet new people and have
lots of fun! The session will start with a warm up and then each
week you will work on your latest performance piece. This class
teaches you creative skills and develops your confidence as well as
your physical ability.

The Royal Ballet Junior School
Associate Programme
The Royal Ballet Junior Associate Programme are currently
holding its associates classes for children aged 8 - 13
years at The Point. The Programme is designed
to enhance a young dancer’s current training as well as introduce
them to The Royal Ballet School’s system of training. Classes will
be held on Saturdays, 18 times a year and each class lasts 2 hours
15 minutes in length.
The Junior Associate auditions (for
children aged 8 to 10 by 31st August) will be
taking place at The Point on
Wednesday
30th April 2008.
