A Snip of The Fringe
Thursday 15th May - Sunday 18th May
Three jam-packed days of critically acclaimed shows from the
Edinburgh Fringe.
Founded in 1947 and acknowledged as the world's largest arts
festival Edinburgh Festival 2007 featured 31,000 performances of
2,050 shows in 250 venues. An estimated 18,626 performers
appeared on stage and a total of 1.6m tickets were sold.
While the Fringe has become an annual pilgrimage for audiences
from across the globe it's a mecca for arts programmers too, many
enduring marathon 20 hour days of shows and interminable late night
sessions in the city's bars to bring back the delights of the
Fringe to venues across Britain. And none more so than the
intrepid director of The Point whose unrelenting dedication and
perseverance has garnered these eight very different shows which
you can see over the three days, taking advantage of bargain ticket
deals and enjoying classic Fringe fare in our bar-cafe. So no
need to go to Edinburgh - Edinburgh has come to you ....
