James Seabright and Louise Chantal in association with
the Burma Campaign UK present
The Lady of Burma
Sunday 18th May
at 6.00pm
Liana Gould plays Aung San Suu Kyi in a compelling solo
performance which
tells the inspirational true story of
the Burmese leader. The only Nobel Peace Prize winner who is also a
political prisoner and the democratically elected leader of the
country, Burma’s military junta have kept Suu Kyi under house
arrest for over a decade. Lady of Burma comes to The Point
following sell-out appearances at Edinburgh ’07 (Assembly at St
George’s) and London’s Old Vic. Whatever you know or think about
Burmese politics, the show is an unmissable hymn to the power of
the human spirit in the quest for freedom.
